Assalamualaikum. I know this is a bit too late, but still, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri Minal Aidil Walfaizin. Celebrated my Hari Raya at my grandma's village in Malacca. Glad that all my maternal relatives are there. Complete. No one left out. All my 24 cousins are there, not including their husbands, wives and children. Love it. The night before Hari Raya, my cousins and I had a so called "mercun war" where we divide ourselves into two groups and attack each other with mercuns. All kind of mercuns. Well, for
me it was definitely a great and exciting experience as mercun are hardly to be found in Singapore. Only bunga api or what Ain call "fire flower". Hahaha. Full of fun and of course sadness too. This year like any other years before, we forgive and forget, apologise with one another and of course cry. Went visitting and the funny thing is that, my cousins and I were just blindly following our uncles and aunts to my grandma's siblings places. We go just for the sake of visitting.
We only chat, eat, laugh and for the mini ones, money! Even
though I have not met some of them for years, we are still able to communicate well and thanks for the praises for my new look! Alhamdulillah. Hahahaha... Many many many updates from my cousins. Some are getting married next year, some are getting engaged, some are flying overseas. To Along Sham, congratulations for your new job appointment and hopefully I will be able to fly to Bahrain to meet you after my NS. It is really nice to meet my cousins after such a long time. I am closer to my maternal family because we can click well, unlike my paternal side,
I am one of the younger ones. Most of them are married and already have children. And when my paternal cousins meet, they will talk about their children, their school stuffs and how naughty are they and I will go like, "Hmmm I see!" all the way. Anyway, we also went to the cemetry to pray for our dear late grandfather and uncle. Food! Walah. All kind of Hari Raya goodies. Lemang, ketupat, sambal sotong, sambal udang, mee curry, rendang, serunding and etc. Thanks to the sweet cold
drinks and oily stuffs, I think I am getting sick now! Gosh and I am working tonight. Hopefully, there will be lesser calls tonight, and hopefully no new medics will follow me, cause I feel uneasy when they are around as I still consider myself as new and junior! And to those who bother to sms me, thank you for the sms and sorry for the late reply because my hp battery was flat and I forgot to bring my charger along. So, once again, Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin!
